How Air Cleaning Blowers Work
Air-cleaning blowers work simply and WITHOUT filter media or canisters.
Like most blowers and fans, air-cleaning blowers have a wheel inside that pulls air—clean or dirty—into itself. That wheel, in combination with the shape of its surrounding housing, rotates the air around itself as it pulls the air through the blower housing and then pushes it out the far side. The air-cleaning blower’s unique design uses the momentum of the dirt, sand, dust, flour, or other particles moving with the advancing and rotating air to fling them out of the housing along with a small amount of air to help carry them along. The rest of the air, now cleansed of its original load of particles, flows out of the air-cleaning blower into buildings, electrical panels, furnaces and other applications.
Unlike filters, the Air-Cleaning BlowersTM (ACBs) do not collect the dirt, and therefore can work for months or years with little maintenance, even in very dusty environments.
An additional contrast with filtration systems is that APS’ self-cleaning air filter-blowers are true blowers. Like any other good blower or fan, they effectively and efficiently move air for ventilation, processes, pressurization, and purging. Thus, two functions in one are achieved with our product.
